I haven’t updated much on my cosplay progress because honestly I haven’t been working on it much!

I am going to change that though don’t worry! I plan on still finishing at least Katarina for Ohayocon ‘13. A second cosplay such as Lulu might not happen but I will try for sure I want to cosplay both League Champions for sure.

I don’t have too much left to do on Katarina that is really large and time consuming. Getting the jacket mostly finish was the biggest hurdle I thought. The next would be her top. Which when I get my next paycheck I will be going to the store to get a sturdy bra for a base. I do need to buy another pair of pleather leggings. The ones I had bought are only pleather in the front and the back is a sheer-like black fabric. lol! I’m planning on finishing or being at least at 90% complete on Katarina by the end of this month.

That’s all the updates I have for right now! I have a lot of things going on.

My birthday is next month and I pretty much have plans two weeks in a row one week in which I will be in Cali.

I’m trying to get through the Black Ops story again to refresh myself for when Black Ops 2 comes out.

AND I am playing League of Legends a lot trying to get to 30 so I can start being in Elo hell in Ranked :D. lots lots going on! lol. But I am planning to have some picture updates of progress soon!

Change of Plans!

I’ve decided to change up my plans for Ohayocon this year.

Originally I was going to cosplay Miss Fortune along with Katarina. I thought I was going to be freezing for both cosplays so why not. Then I started wearing my Katarina jacket around and came to realize that thing is actually extremely warm! Moral of the story is I am going to save Miss Fortune for a warmer convention and instead substitute Lulu in there. I also really want to cosplay Wicked Lulu. So purple and fun I just don’t know how fond I’m going to be using paint to paint my face a purple shade BUT we’ll find out. I’m weird about makeup.. and my face so.. we’ll see what happens but she is just too cute!

Also! To my future plans I am going to add Tira from Soul Calibur! I love Tira she’s so crazy and awesome. I’ve always wanted to cosplay her but felt like I lacked not only the skill but.. the age? even though she acts young in the game I.. I don’t know I just feel like I’m ready to cosplay her now. Besides Big Props! Yay! I’m not sure what version of her to Cosplay. I really like her Alt-outfit in Soul Calibur 3 but I am having the worst luck finding references. I also love her main outfit in Soul Calibur 4. I’ll figure it out! I’m not sure when this will be but It’s added to the list!

Other than that Katarina is going well. I’m just adding some details to finish up the jacket. I’m going to pick up a more sturdy bra today to start on her top and I should be getting the pleather leggings I ordered for her pants in the mail anytime now. All that is left would be to get one more belt, find boots and order a wig. Then just work on altering the swords I got, making her Kunai things, and those stupid wrist, shin protectors that I have no idea how I’m going to make. It still feels like I have a lot to do but once I have her outfit completely finished I feel .. complete even though I have much more to do after that lol. I’m just really excited about this in general.

Oh! This is so old! Ohayocon 2005 I believe.

We all wanted to do this group and we all paid for a photoshoot which actually killed us in the end as we all had to get our costumes done and a lot of us were working well into the day of the convention =3= at any rate this was the first costume I made completely from scratch. At the time I was extremely proud of it. lol. I didn’t get to watch much of the Galaxy Angel series before the con but I knew Vanilla didn’t smile much. I remember the guy who did the photoshoot asking me what my character was like and I was like ” uhh.. she doesn’t smile.. ever ” He laughed. I was so young like 15 haha!~ But I had a lot of fun in this

I wanted to get so much more done tonight than I actually did. But let me tell you something about sewing leather.. it’s a bitch. NEVER AGAIN LEATHER! I included some pictures of the ridiculousness I have to go through just to be able to feed leather through my machine. Since I couldn’t get my hands on a Teflon footer for my machine I settled on a leather needle and wax paper. Without the wax paper the leather literally will not feed through the machine. My machine jammed twice it also doesn’t like the polyester thread I had to use either. Such a pain in my butt! But oh man did Kat’s jacket turn out so good! I got all the altering and hemming finished. Now it’s onto all the small details I want to put into it to make it look more… Katarina like? and to just make the jacket look polished and nice to begin with. I’ll be hand sewing the rest. and good riddance because trying to feed this jacket through my machine was torture! I was so nervous because I’ve never sewn with leather before. I really like the outcome.

Since the jacket sits really awkward on my dress form I decided to just take a picture wearing the jacket. I still have a bit more weight to lose before I’m completely comfortable in this. =3=

After the jacket I’m moving on to her top. I was going to use the black bra I’m wearing in the pic as a base but I need a more sturdy one I think. But yay I bought pleather for her top…. =3= I don’t know where I got the idea that Kat would be easy >_____>

Hello Tumblr!

I decided to make a cosplay tumblr for myself since I’m planning on getting back into the whole cosplay thing. So here it is! I feel bad blowing up my facebook with Cosplay stuff so I figured I would move it here to save my friends the annoyance. So let’s move into what I have planned for the NEAR Future!

Zombie slayer Chick | Black Ops 2: She looks bad ass from the little I’ve seen of her! It would be fun and simple to do! I have to get this out of my system!
